Creating Dropped joists behind a Corbel with Wall Definitions

We can build from Bruce Jennings method and create a wall that will allow us to cut sections and show dropped joists behind a concrete corbel.

In this example we will need to create 2 walls
we will use an 8" concrete wall for this example

1. Foundation wall with pt ledger
2. Floor layer wall (the corbel)

Wall #1

Wall #2

To begin place the Foundation wall with PT plate in a New drawing edit the wall to your required sizes place a reference point in a corner and save your drawing

Use save as and save a copy of this drawing and call it Floor layer

In this drawing use Change wall and change it to Floorlayercorbel

Set any floor parameters in Drawing options material dimensions if they will differ from your defaultsettings

Go to Floor System and place your floor (uncheck plate)

Change back to drawing mode and edit the walls to a height of .125" Sp does not like the wall to be zero". you will need to remember and allow for this in your Dimensions

You can now place a section line in the lowest floor in the Stack and assemble your floors

your section should be as below

You can explode the walls to trim up the lines
